This “Active Group 2” email is in addition to our monthly update that goes to the full list. It’s meant for members who want to take action and don’t mind more frequent messages (about once every 1–2 weeks). In this web version, some sensitive details may be omitted; the best way to stay fully informed is to

First things first: more anti-Flock activity, this time in Sunnyvale. Flock will be on the agenda on Tuesday, April 21 at 7pm. Please join us in urging the City Council to cancel the contract. Details at https://tinyurl.com/no-flock-in-sunnyvale
Last time voting for the new logo, the original refreshed version won out. So, FYI, let's try to use new name now in conversations and links :) Blue Turn Indivisible,
blueturnindivisible.org. If you see the old anywhere that is in my purview to change, please let me know :) It will be a gradual process, I'm sure.
We now have
Instagram and
Bluesky accounts. Do you want to get involved in creating content for these? At the very least, follow us and boost our posts :)
- April 18, Monthly meeting & potluck, the best time to plug in, meet everyone, get re-energized. Featured speaker: Ren Fitzgerald, seasoned community organizer focused on transit issues and democratic strategy, undergraduate Urban Studies and Journalism student at UC Berkeley. RSVP.

- April 25: our Activist Lab in the Park is now listed as part of the Communities Not Cages: Stop ICE Warehouse Detention national day of action. Please help spread the word!
- April 28, CA Governor Debate live watch at my place
- May 1, May Day: march in San Jose with us and a great coalition of labor allies; march and rally in Mountain View with our more local friends in the Mountain View Action Pod; pledge No work, no school, no shopping.
Current campaigns on the porch: postcards to register voters in AZ-02, get out the vote for GA Supreme Court race (very atypically short message!!), and letters with voting guides to young new voters in PA.
Pick up to work from home or
write in person with us (next one is April 18).
- April 16, 9:20-2pm. Join me to go door-to-door to local employers to distribute the Know Your Rights materials and other resources that explain employer and worker rights when ICE comes to a workplace. From the Santa Clara Democratic Party Headquarters in San Jose. RSVP.
- Action from the National Indivisible, by April 19!! Tell Congress to reject warrantless AI mass surveillance and let Section 702 of FISA expire on April 19. This law has enabled years of abuse, allowing warrantless surveillance, targeting vulnerable communities, and chilling free speech, so demand they oppose reauthorization without strong privacy protections.
- Same time as our CA Governor Debate live watch, there's also a fundraiser with Dolores Huerta to support voter readiness efforts in California’s Central Valley. Central Valley Matters is raising funds for three community organizing groups in Congressional District 22, helping them hire and train staff, build voter outreach programs, and prepare for increased volunteer engagement as the election approaches. April 28, 5:30–6:30pm PT on Zoom or live watch in Palo Alto. Can't attend? Donate here.
- Rep. Ayanna Pressley has filed a discharge petition to force a House vote on H.R. 1689 to extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti for three years. This measure would protect over 350,000 Haitians. Call your member of Congress at (202) 224-3121 and urge a YES vote. More info.
